ZDF-FUSSBALLSTRAND
UEFA EURO 2012

Three geodesic domes and a resulting total of 270 sqm 'Space for Ideas' supported the live transmission of the UEFA EURO 2012 at the ZDF Soccer Beach in June 2012.

On the Baltic Island of Usedom, the exclusive mobile architecture by the ZENDOME partner Domeconcept marked a setting never before seen in this dimension on the beach in Heringsdorf.

Responsible for the appearance of the ZDF soccer and brand experience world was the Hamburg based agency NEST ONE. It used the ZENDOME for presenting interactive content centring around the soccer theme. 

Three exciting weeks and a total of 16 matches where transmitted from the broadcasting beach, with live commentary by Katrin Müller-Hohenstein and Oliver Kahn. Virtual visits to the arenas, a beach soccer field, language courses, and many other events made the beach of the sunshine island an extraordinary venue. It also provided a special location for shows like the ZDF Morning Show, the ZDF TV Garden, Lafer!Lichter!Lecker! and many more...
