BADISCHES STAATSTHEATER KARLSRUHE
FESTIVAL PREMIERES

The ZENDOME.75M was the center of the theatre festival Premieres – the most important event in Europe where young directors present themselves. 

In June 2013 it was held for the first time at the Badische Staatstheater in Karlsruhe. Here, the geodesic dome was the inspiring space for the public and directors, where discussions took place on stage, parties were celebrated and documentary films shown.

Ten plays from nine countries, 20 shows in seven languages made the eighth Premieres a huge success. The leitmotif of the productions was the continent in its current crisis, the up and coming theatre makers dealt with the current affairs of the world.

The whole festival proved to be a very successful cultural exchange which from now on will be held as a binational event interchanging between Karlsruhe and Strasbourg every year.
